Paul Powers attended SUNY Oswego studying Music Education before starting his professional music career in Syracuse. He was a founding member of the folk duo “Sweet Breeze”. That group eventually evolved into a five piece country rock group. Paul played professionally with “Sweet Breeze”, and played colleges, universities and clubs from Buffalo to Boston. Paul has played concerts with Don McLean, Melanie, and The Chambers Brothers and more recently the Area 52 Concert. Former band members include Mark Tiffault-Los Blancos, Steve Foster-The Drifters, King Biscut Boy. He also has played with “Circle Of Friends” and the light jazz rock band “Mid Life Crisis”. Paul is also a founding member of "Better Than Bowling" which has played in the Syracuse at The Dinosaur Bar B Que, and Shiftys to name a few recent venues. Paul is collaborating with his brother Hal Powers, a writer from Eugene Oregon on a CD project of original songs. Many of those the band "Better Than Bowling" currently plays.
